Wednesday night at VBS!!

July 16, 2009 – 9:03 am

Moses once again made an appearance at VBS as 103 children and 82 adults gathered to learn about the tenth and final plague that God sent to Egypt.  The story of the passover was brought to life by several adults as teacher, Connie Scott, shared God’s message to Moses.  The children watched as the family followed God’s directions and were saved from losing their firstborn son.  They cheered when Pharaoh finally let the Israelite people go.

One very important aspect of VBS is the mission project for the week.  Mulberry International Children’s Ministries was chosen as the project for this year.  As their website explains, “Mulberry International exists to partner with the children and families of Ukraine through advocacy, education and action to promote growth and eternal transformation. We are a non-governmental organization that focuses on nurturing abandoned and neglected children – helping to provide for their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. With your help we can turn a hopeless situation to the glory of God by showing His love through our actions. These young lives can be snatched from the jaws of death, and molded into Christ’s image.”  This information was obtained from their website–www.mulberryinternational.org.

They have added another three foster children and will add three more.  So far, we have collected $451.63 to help this family.
